Hong Kong West Kowloon Terminus

A gateway to China’s high-speed rail network

Hong Kong West Kowloon Terminus is a new rail station that connects Hong Kong to the National High-Speed Rail Network of China, strengthening the city’s strategic position as the southern gateway of China.

Located centrally in Hong Kong, within the city’s urban realm, and equipped with fifteen tracks, the train station is one of the largest underground terminus stations in the world. It has both regional shuttle trains and long-haul high-speed trains and features customs and immigration controls for departing and arriving passengers, as well as 294,000 square metres of topside commercial space arranged under a 45-metre walk-in roof above the station, which also serves as a viewing terrace.

In total, Heidelberg Materials' subsidiary Alliance Construction Materials Limited supplied 761,489 m³ of concrete for the project.
