Personnel change in the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement

Following an application of the company, the Local Court (Amtsgericht) of Mannheim/Germany supplemented the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement AG by appointing Margret Suckale as a member in the capacity of shareholder representative. She succeeds Alan Murray, who had resigned from his position. Her term of appointment will expire on the occasion of the by-election held at the next Annual General Meeting of HeidelbergCement AG on 9 May 2018.

“We are pleased that, in Margret Suckale, we have succeeded in attracting an experienced manager from the industry as a new member of our Supervisory Board”, stated Fritz-Jürgen Heckmann, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement AG. “Her extensive experience and expertise in the basic industries and the operational management of a Verbund site will be a valuable addition to the Supervisory Board of HeidelbergCement AG.”

Margret Suckale was chairwoman of the Employers' Federation for the Chemical Industry (BAVC) and a member of the Board of Executive Directors at BASF SE until May 2017. In this function, she was responsible for Human Resources, Engineering & Maintenance, Environmental Protection, Health & Safety and the European Site & Verbund Management. At the same time, she was site manager of the plant Ludwigshafen. Before that, she was personnel director first at Deutsche Bahn AG and then at DB Mobility & Logistics AG.
