Operational Technology Project Manager / Engineer Europe (f/m/d)

Your next challenge

• Become the SME for Sapphire in European Area 
• Train side-by-side with the Sapphire Core Development team in Australia to intimately learn Copa Data Zenon and how to implement, aggregate and work within the Sapphire template
• Coordinate an execution plan with your assigned European country teams to upgrade existing SCADA systems with Sapphire  
• Develop country engineering resources and system integrators to become the implementation arm
• Implement OT cybersecurity measures 
• Audit sites in accordance with Global HM Process Control Network Standards creating a list of tasks, equipment and effort required to bring our aggregate and asphalt sites to the new cybersecure minimum operating practices
• Remediate sites directly or through country teams and vetted vendors to carry out the audit required changes 
• Work with our global teams to ensure consistency in our approach to automation and electrical efforts 
• Frequently meet with regional and global management to prove and drive the importance of automation and electrical standardization across Heidelberg Materials
• Demonstrate the effectiveness of our roadmap to cybersecure OT space and standardization of the European Area on the Sapphire solution
• Satisfy the business intelligence requirements to maximize the data fidelity of our production facilities into our Operational management system

Your profile

• Meets at least one of the following key education / experience

requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, or Business
• A well-articulated solid track record of accomplishments in same competencies (Engineering, IT or Business) with vocational training or individual certifications
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in aggregate/quarry operations within our organization or similar business in line with the additional requirements of this role
• PLC / SCADA programing, configuration, and installation experience (Siemens / Allen Bradley / WAGO experience preferred)
• Exceptional understanding of OT networks and their unique challenges
• Previous experience with Cisco brand networking devices, with at least a basic ability to configure layer two devices within a process control network
• At least a basic background in cybersecurity best practices for production systems
• Experience with Copa Data Zenon highly preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to communicate with diverse groups of employees ranging from operations personnel to upper-level management 
• Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet changing deadlines

Willingness to travel for training and standardization summits, and extensive regional travel within the Europe Area to manage projects and meet with local teams and contractors to ensure the successful deployment of projects.
