For our Global ESG department, we are seeking to recruit an

ESG Analyst & Association Expert (f/m/d)

at the earliest date. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing data relating to the implementation of Heidelberg Materials’ (HM) Sustainable Revenues (SR) and decarbonization targets. Furthermore, you will contribute to the coordination of technical work in relevant business associations.

You will report to the Senior Manager Sustainable Construction & Public Affairs of the Environment Social Governance (ESG) Department, and closely cooperate with the Senior Manager CO2 Strategy. You will be based in Heidelberg, Germany.


Your next challenge

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data inputs and improve data quality and accuracy
  • Support the preparation of key meetings (i.e. Sustainable Revenues Country meetings, CO2 SteCo), preparing presentations, minutes, etc.
  • Provide support in organizing and maintaining documentation related to HM’s decarbonization strategy and increasing SR, including data management, analysis, and visualization
  • Compare the product portfolio of HM with its main competitors in selected countries and assess potential performance vs. Green Public Procurement (GPP) initiatives
  • Contribute to building a knowledge hub for the carbon markets
  • Support the preparation of reports, ESG rating questionnaires and management slides to present actual performance vs Roadmap and SR targets, scope 3 results, EUAs forecast
  • Represent HM in the Concrete Sustainability Council’s (CSC) technical committee and support the development of the CSC-certification system
  • Provide HM country organizations with support to efficiently manage CSC-certification for concrete, cement and aggregates, incl. maintenance of the HM certification template
  • Assist in coordinating the technical work in relevant business associations

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master of Science, Engineering or Business Administration
  • Strong data analytics skills and automation, accuracy, and rigor in computing and analyzing data from multiple sources
  • First professional experience in data analytics or carbon accounting would be an advantage
  • Basic understanding of the production processes and emissions generation across the cement value chain
  • Willingness and ability to work in an international environment with occasional travelling
  • Fluent in English, additional German language proficiency appreciated
