Kőröshegyi Viaduct (Hungary)
The Viaduct of Kőröshegy runs in Somogy County, parallel to the southern shore of Lake Balaton, between Zamárdi and Balatonszárszó, Hungary. It is part of the M7 motorway and was opened for the traffic in August 2007. The Viaduct collects the rainwater and diverts the water to a purpose-built reservoir. The collected and cleaned rainwater runs through the Séd brook of Kőröshegy into the Balaton.
To build this bridge and the connected section of the M7 highway, 68,400 t of cement and 180,000 m3 of concrete were supplied by HeidelbergCement’s subsidiary Duna-Drava Cement.
