Heidelberg Materials has been active in Benelux (Belgium and the Netherlands) since 1993. In the cement, ready-mixed concrete, and aggregates sectors, we have leading market positions in the Benelux.

Nearly 75% of the cement produced in Benelux is blended cement, i.e. with a low clinker content. Moreover, the use of alternative fuels is very well integrated in the production process in Benelux: more than 60% of fuel needs are covered by alternative fuels. In the Benelux, Heidelberg Materials operates 7 cement plants.

Ready-mixed concrete facilities are spread throughout the Benelux region, thus providing a dense supply network to the construction market.

Aggregates facilities are mainly located in the south of Belgium and the coastal areas of Benelux. These facilities commercialise aggregates on the Dutch, Belgian, and French markets. The product range includes porphyry, limestone, and marine aggregates.
