Australia’s highest infinity pool
At 270.5 metres, the SkyTower is the tallest building in the City of Brisbane and the fourth tallest in entire Australia. The 90-storey skyscraper offers 1,138 high-class apartments and on the 89th floor Australia’s highest infinity pool. The 8-level underground car park has 980 parking spaces.
Heidelberg Materials' Australian subsidiary Hanson delivered high-strength super-workable concrete for vertical forms as well as high-slump concrete for the floor slabs of the skyscraper. Challenges included truck logistics, supply of concrete also in congested streets, as well as the single stage pump up to 91 levels, which required a special product design.
