Active since 2003

Iceland is part of the Group since 2003. Today, our activities comprise cement, aggregates and ready-mixed concrete, as well as the production of precast concrete products and mortar.

In 2003, the Group acquired a minority participation in the cement company Sementsverksmidjan based in Akranes near the capital Reykjavík. In 2012, additional minority participations in the ready-mixed concrete and precast concrete manufacturer BM Valla and the aggregates company Björgun followed. In 2014, the Group increased its shareholdings in these three companies to 53%.
